PROFILE

Eliza is an experienced professional athlete, and a former Volleyroo, having represented Australia in Volleyball. Collingwood FC identified Eliza’s natural athleticism, and disciplined approach, and selected her as a Rookie Draft for the 2018 AFLW season. Eliza is dedicated to developing her AFL game and skills, and will be using her 183cm height advantage as a key asset for the Magpies.

Eliza has toured the world representing Australia and Victoria in junior netball, volleyball and beach volleyball, and recalls spending every year she can remember playing any sport she possibly could.

Having previously competed internationally for both Finland and Germany, in indoor volleyball, Eliza now chooses to focus 100% on Football and is enjoying being back at home, around family and friends, for this exciting opportunity.

Outside of sport Eliza is studying a Diploma of Education, with the goal of using her studies to assist young people to develop their strengths and resilience to adversity, whilst raising awareness of mental health issues. She also loves spending time outside at the beach, camping and going to local markets.

Eliza will bring her energy, strength and sporting experience to an already strong Collingwood side for AFLW Season 2.
